Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
Graduate of The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, in Philadelphia (1975).
Received thirteen awards for woodcuts and drawings, among them a Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Grant.
Lectured extensively on Iconography as well as the art of the Woodcut in the United States and Canada (1981 to present), including at: New England College, Henniker, New Hampshire; Saint Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota. – Currently, Adjunct Professor in Color Theory and Art Fundamentals, Virginia Marti College, Lakewood, OH.
Thirty-six solo exhibitions in the United States and Canada. Including: La Salle University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Western Maryland College, Westminster, Maryland; Peale House Galleries, The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia, PA; Del Bello Gallery, Toronto, Ontario, Canada; Eleanor Squire Library, Cleveland Botanical Garden, Cleveland, OH; Guren Gallery, Cleveland Botanical Garden, Cleveland, OH; Virginia Marti College, Lakewood, OH; Morgan Conservatory, Cleveland, OH. Additionally participate in over 85 group shows.
Woodcuts, Paintings, Drawings, Icons and Giclees may be found in numerous private and in over 60 permanent collections in the U.S., Canada, Europe, South America and Australia.
Five full color book covers executed for the Paulist Press Classics series. Two woodcuts used as logos by the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
Executed many commissions both secular and ecclesiastical throughout North America. Among them for: The North Royalton Branch of the Cuyahoga Public Library, North Royalton, OH; Greenpoint Technologies, Kirkland (Seattle), WA; The Optimal Wellness Center, Lakewood, OH; Saint Mary’s Cathedral, Allentown, PA and Saint Nectarios Cathedral, Seattle, WA.
Presently residing in Suburban Cleveland, Ohio, working on site-specific public and private commissions in the painting and printmaking mediums.
